Modelithics Microwave Global Models™ for RLC components are ideal for EM/circuit co-simulations. EM/circuit co-simulation is a simulation method that combines circuit analysis of the component models with EM analysis of the surrounding interconnects. Performing this type of simulation with Modelithics Microwave Global Models is highly effective because it combines EM analysis with Modelithics accurate models. Modelithics Microwave Global Models can be used to perform EM/circuit co-simulations in Keysight PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS), Keysight PathWave RF Synthesis (Genesys), Cadence® AWR Design Environment®, Ansys® HFSS™, and Sonnet® Suites.

Modelithics Microwave Global Models include a Sim_mode parameter that gives designers added flexibility. Users can set this parameter to include component solder pads within the model. Alternatively, the Sim_mode parameter can be set to remove the solder pads from the models, allowing them to be included in the EM analysis. Users can also take advantage of the Pad_mode parameter to create custom solder pads.
